Comcast Changed This Customer's Name To A**Hole After He Tried To Get Rid Of Cable

Everyone's had a rough phone call or two with a customer service representative and thought to themselves, "Wow, what an asshole."

Well, now the truth is out: They're thinking the same thing.
When Lisa Brown received her Comcast bill in the mail she was startled to find that her husband's first name was replaced by the word "Asshole."
And, if you're wondering if this could have been a typo, alas...her husband's name is Ricardo, which would be incredibly difficult to accidentally type as Asshole.

When asked Lisa why Comcast would have changed the name, she guessed it was because of a call her husband had made to the company asking to change their plan to something more financially manageable. The family had been having money troubles and asked to cancel the cable portion of their account, at which point they were told there would be a fee.

He fought against the policy, thus, she supposes, earning him his new name.

After contacting Comcast, received the following statement from Steve Kipp, Comcast’s vice president of communications for the Washington region:

“We have spoken with our customer and apologized for this completely unacceptable and inappropriate name change. We have zero tolerance for this type of disrespectful behavior and are conducting a thorough investigation to determine what happened. We are working with our customer to make this right and will take appropriate steps to prevent this from happening again.”
