If you're doing anything fun, you can bet dollars to donuts that there's going to be someone who's trying to ruin it for you.
From neighbors who make noise complaints at 3 PM, to people who are upset kids are running through sprinklers in the backyard, people who try to rain on your parade are the worst.
And it seems like these local police officers feel the same way. Because when they were responding to a call that there were a bunch of children playing hockey in the street, they did the most logical thing.
They grabbed a few sticks and hopped right into the game.
In a heartwarming Facebook post put up by Loren Phillips calling for haters to "let kids be kids."
The Janesville, Wisconsin officers ensured that they would be safe while playing, however.
They blocked the street off for a half hour - enough time for a proper game between badges and boys.
After the game was over, the cops talked to the kids and let them know some other areas in the neighborhood that would be better suited for hockey games.
So it's not like they have to close down traffic every time they've got the urge to get a game or two in.
