In just a few hours, the photo a Rayville police officer parked in handicap accessible parking spot gets shared hundreds of times on Facebook. The picture was also shared with the chief shortly after.

Police Chief Willie Robinson said he spoke with the officer Monday.
Robinson said the officer told him he was working on a credit card theft case at the gas station, and he went in to look at surveillance video.
Chief Robinson said that's still no excuse for illegally parking there.
"You can show them. You can teach them, but you can't police for them...this will not be tolerated," Robinson said.
He said the officer admits he made a 'bad mistake.'
Robinson gave the officer a written warning to make it clear that this was unacceptable. He also thanked the Facebook user for taking the picture and bringing awareness to the situation while apologizes to those who were affected.
