Amazing historic photographs depicting a Yale graduate’s travel to Russia during the Russian Revolution have been discovered after almost one century by his granddaughter in his California home.

The granddaughter has found more than 500-hand painted glass in an old metal chest. The historic photos document a fascinating 1917 excursion that put him in the midst of the Revolution, among heavy-coated soldiers, machine guns, gas masks and bunkers.

In 2012, Anton Orlov, South California camera collector and photographer purchased the slides and thanks to him now we can see the photos fully restored in color.
