Lionel Richie's son was cautioned by police after telling airport security staff he had a bomb in his bag which he would detonate on a plane.
Miles 'Milo' Brockman Richie, 24, who is a model, also hit a security guard in the incident at London Heathrow Airport's Terminal Five on Saturday morning.
Scotland Yard officers said a man had accepted a caution for communicating false information causing a bomb hoax and battery, but did not confirm it was Richie.

According to witnesses, Mr Richie became irate after being denied onto a flight - and claimed he would detonate a bomb on board if he was not allowed on.
Mr Richie then punched one of the members of staff before being detained by police. He has since been released, law enforcement sources told TMZ.
A police spokesman told MailOnline: 'On Saturday, 19 January, a 24-year-old man accepted a caution for communicating false information causing a bomb hoax and battery following an incident at Heathrow Terminal 5 earlier that morning.'
The Metropolitan Police added that its statement was not a confirmation of the name of the person under investigation.
Milo is one of two children music legend Lionel Richie had while married to dancer Diane Alexander - the other being Sofia Richie, 20, who also works as a model.
Despite the family's fame, their mother made the children do chores before they received their allowance. But the parents split when Miles was eight and Sofia four.
Speaking about his children in March 2012 on ITV's The Jonathan Ross Show, Richie said Sofia was a 'full-grown gorilla' during her tearaway years growing up.
He added: 'Now I have the joke with Miles and Sofia where every time they try something I say, 'Your sister already did that.' '
Lionel, 69, has sold more than 100 million records, with hits like 'Hello' and 'Three Times a Lady', and is estimated to be worth £150 million.
